Girls Hip Hop

Girl style Hip Hop as its name suggests, is Hip Hop with a feminine touch. This style of hip hop encompasses all things which would be suggested as girly and sexy. From the fashion to the dance moves, it spells “girliness”.

The main draw of Girls’ hip hop comes from the styling and attitude the dancer exudes. Besides that, body isolations and stylish poses are some of the things that makes Girls hip hop so distinctive. With the increasing popularity of female icons like Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez so did the popularity of this dance style.

Girls’ hip hop originated from jazz dancers who wanted to do hip hop. The differences in technique training actually made the “hip hop” they wanted to do seem different. This led to the start of a new style of dance which was still undefined till recent years where the term girls’ hip hop was coined. As the trend grew, the style also developed further into greater depth and also choreography possibilities.

The movements in Girls hip hop are generally termed as sexy and some would even say raunchy. However, contrary to what people think, this style of dance requires more understanding as an art form rather than just “dirty dancing”. There is much more depth and technique involved rather than just what people think of it to be. As the term says, “The guys don’t get it!”
