Qn: What type of dance classes offered at Studio Wu?

Ans: Studio Wu’s forte lies in commercial dance mainly in Jazz and Hip Hop. Below are the different types of Jazz and Hip Hop Classes for your quick reference.

Jazz

Jazz, Jazz Technique, Street Jazz, Latin Jazz, Pop Jazz

Hip Hop

Hip Hop, Girls Hip Hop, J/K Pop, Popping, Locking

Fitness Dance

Qn: How the classes at Studio Wu conducted?

Ans: All the classes listed in our class schedule are Open Classes, operated on an on-going basis. There is no fixed starting date for each type of dance classes. Hence, you can join the classes at anytime. Studio Wu offers classes on the Breezy Hour (60 minutes, before 6.30pm timebelt), Pump Hour (90 minutes, 6.30-9.30 timebelt) and Community Concept Hour (90 minutes, after 9.30pm timebelt)

Unlike course, there is no minimum number of participants required to start the class.
And, you can attend more than one (1) type of class per day either through a Walk-in Rate or a Members Rate (using Studio Wu Credit System).

The on-going class system provides member the flexibility to attend classes at their own rate and at their own convenient time.

Class reservation is/ are required for all class(es). A maximum of 2 days advance booking is allowed for reservation of class(es). Any cancellation of class booking(s) has to be made at least 4 hours before the class time. This is to ensure sufficient time for staff of Studio Wu to notify those members in the waiting list and for them to have enough time to travel down to Studio Wu for class(es).

Class reservation through phone only will be attended.

Qn: How can members progress through Open Classes at Studio Wu?

Ans: Studio Wu provides different class levels ranging from Introductory to Intermediate level to cater for participants with different dance background. Please refer to description of class levels for details.

Qn: What is the recommended time period to stay at each level?

Introductory Level
Min. 6 to 8 sessions for each type of dance class
Example: 6 to 8 sessions at Hip Hop (Intro) classes

Beginner Level
Min. 8 to 16 sessions for each type of dance class
Example: 8 to 16 sessions at Hip Hop (Beg)/ Girls Hip Hop (Beg) classes

Advance Beginner Level
Min. 16 to 24 sessions for each type of dance class
Example: 16 to 24 sessions at Girls Hip Hop (Adv Beg) classes

Qn:What are the packages available for the Open Classes?

Ans: Effective May 31, 2010, Studio Wu is offering the following payment structure to new sign–ups.

Breezy Hour (60 minutes, before 6.30pm timebelt)
Walk-in Rate: $16
Members Rate: $12
Pump Hour (90 minutes, 6.30-9.30pm timebelt)
Walk-in Rate: $32
Members Rate: $25
Community Concept Hour (90 minutes, after 9.30pm timebelt)
Walk-in Rate: $12
Members Rate: $12
UNLIMITED PACKAGE
Monthly Package: $350 per month
6-Months Package: $1670
12-Months Package: $2760

Qn: What type of attire is suitable for the dance classes?

Answer:

Jazz Classes
Fitted top and stretch pant are highly recommended. Footwear can range from toe sandals or Jazz shoes.

Hip Hop/ MTV Classes
Recommended dressing would be loose or fitted tops match with cargo pants or track pants. Footwear can range from sneakers to sport shoes.

Fitness Classes
Gym attire and sport shoes are highly recommended for Kickboxing class. For Pilates, Yogalates and Belly Funk classes, no footwear is required.

Qn: When is the next start date of your classes?

Answer: The classes here are open classes so you can join in anytime as each class will be a new class every week. You just need to make a booking for the classes and come down on the day itself 30 min before the class to process the registration.
