Jazz Funk, was developed in the mid-1970s and is characterized by its infusion of strong grooves elements picked up from Hip Hop together with Jazz techniques. Electrified sounds and bass pumping music are often used to create the funk element of the dance.
As the name says it, this Hip Hop class focuses on “freestyle”, on individual flavour and attitude. But in order to do that, you’ll be taught basic grooves, body isolations and the various ways that your body can execute Hip Hop movements. Understanding of your body and coordination is vital in this class and once you’ve mastered that, you can be sure of an enjoyable time discovering the joy of freestyle dance.
