A fun combination of Hip Hop, Funk & Street Jazz. Jazz Funk, was developed in the mid-1970s and is characterized by its infusion of strong grooves elements picked up from Hip Hop together with Jazz techniques. Electrified sounds and bass pumping music are often used to create the funk element of the dance.
As the name says it, this Hip Hop class focuses on “freestyle”, on individual flavour and attitude. But in order to do that, you’ll be taught basic grooves, body isolations and the various ways that your body can execute Hip Hop movements. Understanding of your body and coordination is vital in this class and once you’ve mastered that, you can be sure of an enjoyable time discovering the joy of freestyle dance. Basic wacking, punking and soul will be introduced.
Sassy Hip Hop moves with soulful rhythm that will get your butt rocking hard. Get a taste of head swaying, body rolls and body poppin’ all rolled into one in this class. Wanna sweat it out with the gals? All gutsy guys are welcome.
Jam yourself into the latest J & K pop craze! Speak no Japanese or Korean language but dance those cool, funky steps in another essence. A combination of street funk and hip hop similar to styles seen in music video clips for Rain, Shinhwa, Boa, DBSK etc.
