Glady enjoys performing, learning and sharing her passion for dance.
Dance is a form of self-expression, of release and of liberation. Freedom is felt when dancing and thus that is the beauty of it. Learning is an essential and crucial part of Glady’s dance life and is a process that she enjoys very much. Through sharing, she finds excitement when exchanging ideas with fellow peers relating to dance.
Dance is all around. Feel it, breath it.
Though the shipbuilding industry is generally male-dominated, it does not mean that we girls cannot do it. Sure, there are stereotypical views of us not being able to handle it, not able to inspect vessels or even understand the mechanics of a vessel. But nothing is impossible as long as one is willing to learn. Similarly, in dance, it is the same. Everything can be done, given the time and effort to learn. That is my belief. (wah so serious seh~)
I’m not saying i’m an expert in the marine/dance industry. I’m still learning and I believe it will always be so as there are endless things to learn. WOO!
La fuse originated from a group of 7 girls who named ourselves as ‘FUSE’. From there, 5 of us joined Overdrive competition and we were renamed as ‘La Fuse’ as Sheila was our choreographer for that competition.
Basically we are just a group of girls who enjoy each others’ company, love dancing together and most of all, enjoy our rehearsals and making our own costumes for competitions(!). Every competition we joined was great fun and spurred us to join even more. Love the girls in La Fuse and love the friendship!
When I see girls who wishes to learn Girls’ Style, generally I would think back to my teenage years (like it’s very long ago!LOL) where I’ll watch MTV with hot dancers grooving to the music. I think a lot of us are inspired by these hot dancers (from Janet Jackson to Beyonce to Britney and so on) and wishes that we could be like them!
For me, learning dance has made me feel more confident, outgoing and generally a happier person so my advise is: JUST DO IT! Or Just DANCE IT?
